UcD™ amplifier modules are globally well-known and respected for their exceptional performance. To learn more about our UcD™ technology, please visit the Technology page.

NCORE® amplifier modules: NCORE® technology combines the stability of UcD™ with enhanced load-independence, lower distortion, and reduced output impedance. A new control loop increases the loop gain by 20dB across the entire audio range without compromising stability. NCORE® is the first Class-D amplifier to not only match the performance of the best linear amplifiers but to surpass them in every aspect relevant to sound quality.

An SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) is a high-efficiency power supply specifically designed for use with our amplifier modules from the UcD™ and NCORE® families. These power supplies are suitable for mono and stereo setups, as well as multichannel applications.
A Fusion Amp is an aluminum plate that houses a mounted DSP and one, two, or three amplifiers with an integrated power supply. It is designed for use in active loudspeakers and subwoofers, and is also referred to as a plate amplifier.
Our products are intended solely for audio reproduction. Use in any other application is not supported and is at your own risk.
A Class-D amplifier, or switching amplifier, is an electronic amplifier in which the amplifying devices (typically MOSFETs) function as electronic switches, rather than linear gain devices as in other types of amplifiers. These amplifiers operate by rapidly switching between the supply rails, with a modulator using techniques such as pulse width modulation, pulse density modulation, or related methods to encode the audio input into a pulse train. The audio is then passed through a low-pass filter into the loudspeaker, while the high-frequency pulses (which can reach up to 6 MHz) are blocked. Since the output transistor pairs are never conducting simultaneously, there is no alternate path for current flow other than through the low-pass filter and loudspeaker, allowing efficiency to exceed 90%.
In principle, Hypex amplifiers are compatible with any loudspeaker, provided they are correctly matched. Our recommendation is to use an amplifier that is capable of delivering slightly more power than what your speakers require. While it is not necessary to have an extremely powerful amplifier, it is important to select a module that can provide the power your speakers can handle. Using an undersized amplifier may result in it operating at maximum capacity continuously, which can lead to clipping and potentially damage your audio equipment.
